When the first rays of sunshine slowly bid farewell to the night, a very special time begins. Full of longing, grace and a spirit of optimism. “Up with an angel” by the Mannheim-based producer and 8Bit maker is an ode to this time and enchants us in three acts. A demanding arppeggio synthesizer devoutly sets the mood for the track and is accompanied by a catchy and powerful bassline which culminates in emotional piano chords and organic-percussive elements in a firework of friends. A festival tune made for very special moments. A few old and new friends also join this extraordinary piece, in the Mollono.bass remix “Up with an angel” experiences a euphoric high and energy that is concentrated to the point and demandingly stretches out its hand towards the dancefloor. Leeni & Danilo Kupfernagel are reducing the original to its most essential components and build a minimal but yet fulfilling construct of chords and piano.
